In late 2018, Steve Bannon, formerly Donald Trump's chief strategist, visited the UK preparing for a speech at the prestigious Oxford Union.

The event was interrupted by numerous protesters, and Bannon, who was due to board a flight that evening, told Jeffrey Epstein in an email: "Activists slowed down my talk don't think I can catch the plane we r enroute to the airport".

Epstein replied: "There. Is a Gulf Air departing at 9:50 with a stop in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "You are an amazing assistant".

These exchanges were published on Wednesday alongside more than 20,000 documents from the records of Epstein, the deceased convicted sex offender.

The release by the House oversight committee includes an text conversation where Bannon's name is withheld. Media outlets managed to confirm his involvement by matching the dates, events, and places referenced.

For example, Epstein talks about chartering a jet from Scotland for the unnamed individual in the messages, and offers praise their "address at Oxford". Bannon participated in the News Xchange conference on 14 November, and gave the talk at the Oxford Union on November 16.

Bannon, who is not accused of any misconduct, declined to comment on the inquiry.

'I'll make sure you're well looked after'

Bannon served as the president's key advisers in the lead-up to the 2016 election and in the early days of his first administration, but resigned from the White House in 2017.

He has acknowledged he was making a documentary about Epstein before his death and allegedly has approximately 15 hours of footage. In a live taping of his podcast recently, he said: "We're going to publish the film, the five-part series, next year - early next year."

But the recently disclosed materials suggest Bannon's relationship with Epstein went further than being his biographer, with the convicted paedophile occasionally seeming to act like a personal assistant.

A few days prior to the exchange in which Epstein seemed to arranged a private plane for Bannon, Epstein said: "what's it like to have the most highly paid booking agent in the world ".

Bannon thanked him: "You are pretty good asst", to which Epstein replied "Therapies. Excluded".

Discussing a visit to "Abu Dhabi" in another message, Epstein assured Bannon: "I'll make sure you are well looked after."

UK Politics Discussed in Messages

The published communications also reveal Bannon and Epstein talking about British political matters in 2018.

On the day of his speech at the Oxford, Bannon texted Epstein: "I've gotten pulled into the EU exit issue this morning with Farage, Boris and Mogg."

Then, in what appears to be a allusion to Theresa May, the embattled UK prime minister at the period, he continued: "They are trying to move on. may soon…"

Epstein suggested Bannon: "In my view staying as much as you can in the UK. Ideal- so others see the commitment of your follow-up."

Shortly after, Epstein asked: "Can Theresa may survive". Bannon replied: "I don't see how BUT the guys here have no balls" and noted "Johnson ; Gove; Jacob Rees-Mogg; Davis - somebody has to take charge".

Theresa May was eventually toppled in 2019 after surviving two votes of lack of support in late 2018.

A spokesman for Reform UK informed media: "Farage has not been in a meeting with Bannon, Rees-Mogg and Boris Johnson." And there is no evidence such a meeting took place.

The US House of Representatives will vote next week on whether the Department of Justice should make public all its records related to its investigation into Epstein, who died in jail in that year.

Attention in Epstein's relationships with influential individuals was reignited this week after the release of more than 20,000 documents from his archives.

A portion of those referenced the former president, who has repeatedly rejected any impropriety. The president was a acquaintance of Epstein's for a long time, but says they parted ways in the 2000s, two years before Epstein was initially charged.
